JOB OFFERS – AER RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY: Electrical engineer

Electrical Engineer
Mission: Under the authority of the Head of Mission, the Electrical Engineer will have the task of planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and controlling all electrical engineering activities of the project and implementing the control and monitoring of electrical energy production and distribution works.

 

 

 

Qualifications and Experience;
• Electrical engineering diploma (Minimum BAC + 5) or any other equivalent field (renewable energies, Electromechanics);
At least five (05) years in studies, sizing, monitoring the implementation of rural electrification installations (extension of networks, decentralized rural electrification): At
least two (02) relevant project electrical engineer references studies and/or construction of power plants powered by renewable energies (Hydro, Solar PV),
Proven experience in similar energy projects or operation/Maintenance and/or having attended relevant training in the field of systems solar photovoltaic;
Good command of CAD (Computer Aided Drawing) software for electrical installation/electrical diagrams (Dialux, Eplan, Autocad, Matlab, etc.) and a good knowledge of electrical schematization;
• Good use of electrical and mechanical calculation software, and office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) as well as tools
• Perfectly master one of the official languages ​​and have practice in the second.

COMPOSITION OF THE APPLICATION FILE
Candidates, for each position mentioned above, must produce a file containing the documents below dating from less than three (03) months:
l. A handwritten and stamped application for application addressed to the Director General of the Rural Electrification Agency, BP: 30704 Yaoundé bearing the full name, postal address, telephone number and email address of the candidate,
2. A detailed curriculum vitae (CV) signed by the candidate accompanied by proof of qualification and professional experience (Diplomas, Certificates, certificates etc.) with indication of references (surnames/first names, telephone/fax and email) institutions and documents supporting the experience;
3. Photocopies of the required diplomas or certificate of achievement and other documents demonstrating skills/qualifications;
4. A motivation note indicating the candidate’s reasons and strengths
5. Copies of work certificates or employment contracts
6. Photocopy of the National Identity Card

 

 




 

APPLICATION SELECTION PROCEDURES
Incomplete applications will be immediately rejected and no missing documents will be forwarded subsequently; selected candidates may be asked to provide original diplomas or certificates for the experiences and qualifications which led to their Prequalification.
For candidates with a complete application file, the selection will be made in two phases:
4.1 The first prequalification phase
The first phase will consist of a pre-selection or pre-qualification based on file study.
The evaluation of applications will be based on:
Examination of the content of the application file for an evaluation of administrative compliance. Any missing element will be exclusion criteria.
.2. The technical evaluation of candidates will be carried out in accordance with the following grid:
Presentation of the file: 05 points
Motivation (max 1 page): 15 points
Basic training: 20 points
General training: 20 points
Specific training: 40 points
TOTAL 100 points

The minimum technical score required to participate in the interview is 75 points out of 100. The information received on the aptitude and other qualities of the candidates will be verified with the references indicated (NB: the AER reserves the right to contact any administration and/or structure mentioned in the CV, to verify the authenticity of the information on the skills/qualities of the candidates; even if this structure is not cited as a reference).

DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT AND PLACE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS
Applications must be submitted (in a sealed envelope) to the AER Mail Office, located in the Bastos district, Yaoundé, Rue du ROTARY, Tel./Fax 222 212 384 / 222 212 381, against discharge no later than February 8, 2024 at 3 p.m.
Any application received after the submission deadline will not be taken into account.
