HEAD OF CERTIFICATIONS AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT / SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER

South, Cameroon

REPORTING LINE : This position reports to the General Director of the company.

MAIN MISSION OF THE POSITION:

Contribute to the strategic and operational objectives of the company by ensuring the development, execution, continuous improvement and management of its corporate sustainability strategies.

 




 

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

  1. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

-Monitor the implementation of the company’s Sustainability Policy;

-Develop a strategic plan identifying key gaps and opportunities for alignment with sustainability goals and objectives;

-Develop and ensure the management and monitoring of a complete social action plan in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (employees, NGOs, local administrative, political, traditional authorities, local and indigenous communities, etc.) ;

-Improve the company’s image among internal and external stakeholders Develop metrics and key performance indicators to monitor and evaluate progress in achieving the company’s sustainability goals;

-Lead the company’s data reporting process for the annual sustainability report;

-Consolidate and report to General Management on all social responsibility (CSR) activities;

-Serve as interface with regulatory agencies and civil society organizations relevant to the company’s sustainability activities.

 

 

  1. QUALITY
  • Ensure the maintenance of ISO 9001-2015 certifications;
  • Ensure the satisfaction of all of the company’s product customers;
  • Develop and disseminate the culture of quality, in compliance with the existing policy in this area;
  1. CERTIFICATIONS
  • Ensure the Coordination of all certifications;
  • Develop and implement a consolidated approach to conducting audits and accessing evidence;
  • Promote certifications obtained/maintained.
  1. TEAM MANAGEMENT
  • Ensure the coordination of activities within the different Services;
  • Facilitate team-building;
  • Promote relationships and working conditions conducive to achieving objectives and healthy cohabitation;
  • Guarantee fair treatment for all.

EXPECTED RESULTS    

  • Monitoring of regulatory constraints of standards;
  • Implementation of monitoring procedures within the company;
  • Careful monitoring of the Quality and CSR budget.

INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER UNITS   

All Departments on strategic thinking and deployment of Quality, Certifications and Sustainability activities

HR and HSE, for internal social aspects (relationships and living and working conditions);

HSE, for external social and environmental aspects;

Finance, for purchasing services and other hospitality;

Purchasing, for orders and assessments of the quality of needs, products and services;

Factory and plantation, for aspects related to the optimization and protection of resources (water, electricity, raw materials, etc.);

Communication, for the promotion and enhancement of the initiatives carried out.

 




 

REQUIRED PROFILE

Minimum BAC+5 level in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment, Sustainable Development or Social Sciences

Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in a similar function in agro-industry (plantation type).

Expertise

Ability to anticipate the CSR environment;

Ability to anticipate the CSR environment;

Ability to negotiate and convince internally and externally;

Ability to design, carry out and communicate on projects;

Solid knowledge in Quality, Hygiene, Safety, Environment and Sustainable Development;

Solid knowledge in management and team motivation;

Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office pack, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel;

Bilingual interpersonal skills (French-English).

Be organized, rigorous and methodical;

Be autonomous and proactive;

Have a sense of group work and team spirit;

Be multitasking.

Managerial Skills

Managerial and leadership abilities;

Ability to evaluate and develop staff.
