Founded in 1951, IOM is the leading intergovernmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does this by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM), the direct technical supervision of the Project Managers (GAVI and PAMOZ) in collaboration with the relevant services, and the administrative supervision of the Head of Sub-Office, the successful candidate will support activities related to the “GAVI” project on health issues, including vaccination for children and under-vaccinated populations in border and high mobility areas in the health districts of Garoua-boulaï and Kette in the East region of Cameroon. He will also work on the “PAMOZ” project related to Migration and Trade and those related to Labor Mobility (LMI) of the IOM in order to exploit the development potential of migration and optimize the benefits of labor migration for the benefit of societies and migrants, with women’s small cross-border trade thus contributing to sustainable development and poverty reduction. 

Responsibilities
Coordination and administration
Assist the Project Manager in the implementation of mobility mapping activities in all 7 official entry points of the Region (Garoua-Boulaï, Kentzou, Tocktoyo, Gbiti, Libongo, Gari-Gombo and Ntam);
Assist the Program Manager in monitoring the implementation indicators of vaccination services in the two health districts of Garoua-boulaï and Kette.
Assist the Program Manager in monitoring collaboration with local stakeholders in planning, implementing and monitoring project activities (biannual micro-planning update in health districts). 

Coordinate logistics through vaccine transport, cold chain management and vaccination equipment in collaboration with local stakeholders.
Coordinate project managers’ agendas for their participation in meetings and conferences, while assisting in liaison and coordination with local authorities, partners, United Nations agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders concerned by the project; Support
the organization in collaboration with local stakeholders, meetings, workshops and training sessions, prepare training materials and participate in workshops.
 Ensure administrative follow-up on project issues, prepare and update reports, briefing notes and other useful documents. 
Ensure the updating of files and administrative registers,
Respond to requests for information and inquiries, even complex ones;
Ensure compliance with the implementation schedules of the activities of implementing partners and report any non-compliance to the supervisory authority. 
Technical management of projects 
Support data collection, management and analysis, contributing to the establishment of databases and information systems on migration flows, trade dynamics and cross-border employment opportunities, with particular attention to Cameroon-CAR regional coherence.
Support knowledge management and capitalization, ensuring the production and dissemination of analytical reports, policy notes, practical tools and good practices resulting from the project.

Carry out any other related tasks that may be assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in economics, political or social science, international relations, development studies, migration studies, human rights, law, or related fields from an accredited university with four years of relevant experience, or

High school diploma with six years of relevant experience. 

Accredited universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience
Experience in dealing with government authorities, national or international institutions, United Nations agencies, and non-governmental organizations; 

Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, and other vulnerable groups;

Skills
In-depth knowledge of the wide range of migration-related areas addressed by the Organization;

Knowledge of United Nations and bilateral donor programming;

Knowledge of United Nations Financial Regulations and Regulations.

Languages
​​Fluency in French (oral and written)

Knowledge of local languages ​​(Eastern Region)

IOM’s official languages ​​are English, French and Spanish.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
