JOB BRIEF 

Project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the process. All of this is done within the limits of a company’s goals and vision.

Successful project managers are detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills, they are able to coordinate a team of professionals from different disciplines to achieve the best results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and define the scope and objectives of the project
• Predict the resources needed to achieve objectives and manage resources effectively and efficiently
• Prepare the budget according to the scope of work and resource requirements
• Track project costs to stay on budget
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan

• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to different stakeholders on strategy, adjustments and progress
• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
• Use industry best practices, techniques and standards throughout project execution
• Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in project management or a related field
• Relevant project management and related experience
• Preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Good knowledge of project management software tools, methodologies and best practices
• Experience seeing projects throughout the lifecycle
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
• Demonstrated ability to complete projects within scope, budget and schedule
