CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

I. Context and Justification
As part of the development of the Construction Cost Index (ICC), the Director General of the National Institute of Statistics is launching a call for applications for the preselection of 15 (fifteen) agents processing and exploitation and 65 (sixty-five) cartographers, for a fixed-term contract.
II. Description of positions:
1. Processing and operating agent:
1.1 Purpose of the contract:He will be responsible for assisting the coordination of the project in the processing and use of cartographic databases. Specifically, it will be responsible for: centralizing the regional bases; check and correct geographic coordinates; produce regional cartographic databases; assist the coordination of the project in all activities within its competence.
1.2 Candidate Profile   hold at least a Bacc+3 diploma in cartography, Web GIS, Statistics, Database Management, or any other equivalent diploma; have a good knowledge of computers; be free of any commitment; be at least 21 years old and no more than 40 years old on January 1, 2022 • be in good physical health, have good teamwork skills, be a resident of the region requested for the survey.
1.3 Working language: English or French.

2. Agent cartographer:
2.1 Purpose of the contract: He will be responsible for collecting data from construction sites, residential houses, businesses, workshops and other production units falling within the scope of the ICC, it will be:
identify and geolocate residential housing sites under construction in dense neighborhoods under construction; identify, characterize and geolocate the points of sale of construction materials, for a better distribution of collection points for follow-up surveys; identify, characterize and geolocate labor cost collection points (wood, metal and aluminum carpentry workshops, etc.); complete the questionnaires and send them to the project coordination.
2.2 Candidate profile:
be of Cameroonian nationality, hold a Bacc level diploma; be free of any commitment; be at least 21 years old and no more than 40 years old on January 1, 2022; be in good physical health; The ability to work in a team ; be a resident of the region requested for the survey; experience in business surveys is an asset.
2.3 Duration of the contract: 1 month.
2.4 Number of Places: 65
2.5 Language: English or French.
