An Assistant analyzes and controls data quality

Posted based in:  Douala, Littoral, Cameroon

Contract duration:  10 months

Main responsibilities

• Assist in the organization, updating and implementation of data quality standards and policies;

• Assist in the assessment of data quality (detection of errors, inconsistencies, duplicates or missing data);

• Work for the continuous improvement of the practice of using quality data;

• Assist in reporting the performance of collected data (analyze project practices and direct efforts on high value tasks for the benefit of the Monitoring and Evaluation project);

• Participate in defining the level of data quality according to the criteria of completeness, uniqueness, precision, clarity, consistency, traceability, freshness, availability, etc.;

• Assist in the development and supervision of the data quality control process;

• Understand the project’s needs for standardized data, identify data sources, establish data standardization rules (structuring, formatting, data recording, etc.);

 

 

• Contribute to the organization of training and awareness sessions for teams on data quality issues as well as good practices;

• Contribute to the design of data collection tools and terms of reference for thematic evaluations;

• Contribute to the development of analysis reports at the end of data collection operations within the framework of monitoring the performance of projects implemented in favor of people forced to move as well as within the framework of thematic evaluations;

• Contribute to the development of various statutory periodic reports;

• Accomplish any other task entrusted to him by the hierarchy and compatible with the mission and vision of DEDI.

Profile Required

Training:  Development sciences, Big Data, Statistics, Demography or other relevant field

Qualification:  University degree or higher education

Experience:  At least 2 years of experience in a similar position or any other relevant function mainly in the humanitarian field.

Other skills and/or skills:  – Good knowledge of MS Office and IT tools;

– Good knowledge of the environment and humanitarian principles;

– Ability to work in English and French (oral and written);

– Great organizational skills;

– Communication skills;

– Proactivity and spirit of initiative;

– Adaptability ;

– Ability to work independently and under pressure;

– Be of good moral character, flexible and willing to travel in the field.

– Skills in computer programming languages ​​are an asset.
