RECRUITMENT NOTICE: FFA/NUTRITION FIELD SUPERVISOR

In close collaboration with the field agents, the Infrastructure officer and the
deputy project manager, the FFA nutrition field supervisor contributes, under the responsibility of the Deputy Project Manager
, to ensure supervision technical aspects of the fish farming, agricultural, livestock and
nutrition activities of the project, in particular: the establishment of agricultural, fish farming areas, orchards,
farmer school fields, distribution of agricultural inputs, distribution of super cereals
plus, sizing of plots agricultural irrigation, and orchards,

 





community mobilization, awareness-raising and technical training of beneficiaries.
Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Project Manager and in close collaboration with
field agents and the Infrastructure officer, he ensures the management and implementation of all
activities related to agriculture, fish farming, forestry, nutrition, cash transfer in all
project intervention areas. He ensures the proper execution of the entire
food security and livelihood program in his department in consultation
with his collaborators while respecting the strategy established by the organization and the
local, state and humanitarian partners involved in the field. .
Missions and Responsibilities
Coordination and external representation
• Ensures planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of community assets;
• Provides supervision, performance evaluations and technical training of
sector and community staff;
• Under the supervision of the Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager, and following the
communication charter, ensures effective and timely communication with WFP staff
on field operations;
• Ensures coordination of the sector with partners and Sectors involved in the
field; • Actively participates in weekly and/or monthly SANME sectoral meetings with
partners and presents INTERSOS action plans, the status of their implementation work and the
results obtained as well as lessons learned and best practices.
Supervision, monitoring and reporting
• Ensures the planning, implementation, monitoring of all agricultural, fish farming,
forestry, nutrition, cash transfer activities;
• Regularly visits the field to assess program performance and orients staff
on implementation;

 

 



 

• Writes regular reports on the progress of activities to be transmitted to the
deputy project manager and/or project manager.
• Develop monthly, quarterly and annual action plans in accordance with
available budgets;
• Ensures that sector staff implement and report activities in accordance
with established action plans;
• Ensures the continuing training of the sector team on a technical level, the standardization
of participatory approaches and the monitoring and evaluation of sector activities;
• With the support of the Project Manager, ensures compliance of activities with the various
departments (finance, security, logistics and MEAL) and monitors any ongoing processes in this
regard;
• Organizes training for committees on their roles and responsibilities, etc.;
• Writes distribution, weekly and monthly reports on the progress of
activities to be transmitted to the deputy project manager
• Check the consistency and quality of the information provided by the teams and ensure their
compilation and validation by the Project Manager Assistant Project;
• Participate in donor reports and the preparation of new proposals;
• Participates in the development of the terms of reference for the various monitoring;
• Assumes all other objective tasks assigned by his supervisor.
Implementation of community assets
• Control the quality of agricultural inputs and seeds to be distributed to beneficiaries;
• Ensure monitoring of beneficiaries’ daily, weekly and monthly scorecards
;
• Plans, organizes and supervises the field work of all nutrition, agricultural,
fish farming, forestry and cash transfer activities;
• Establish pipeline and sizing plans for agricultural areas;
• Make fund requests for beneficiary payments;
• Defines results indicators and sets up data collection tools;
• Develops monthly, quarterly and annual action plans in accordance with
available budgets; • Monitors all IGAs and VSLAs of the project in its area of ​​intervention;
• Ensures proper monitoring of solar and pastoral drilling for productive use for the perimeters
agricultural and fish farming;
• Conducts training sessions for beneficiaries using participatory methods;
• Reorganizes and revitalizes the project, asset and complaints management committees;
• Organizes training for committees on their roles and responsibilities;
• Evaluates agricultural and fish productivity in its area of ​​intervention;
• Conducts training sessions for beneficiaries using participatory methods;
• Ensures that the field agent implements and reports activities in accordance with
established action plans;
• Ensures the continuing training of the sector team on a technical level, the standardization
of participatory approaches and the monitoring and evaluation of sector activities.
Data management

 




• In collaboration with the M&E team, facilitate the collection and compilation of data for the
different indicators;
• Ensure that the quality of the data collected is correctly treated before
submission to the Project Manager;
• Ensure that the archiving system is respected. That it respects internal regulations
and those of donors and that the ranking is regularly maintained.
Human resources management
• Control, empower and evaluate the performance of the entire project team under his
direct supervision;
• With the support of the Project Manager and the Deputy Project Manager, define the terms of reference for community mobilizers, supervise their monitoring by the FFA/Nutrition
Field Agents ; • Clarify roles, assign clear tasks/responsibilities and establish work plans and roadmaps for each team member under their direct supervision; • Ensure clear delegation of responsibilities and empower team members under his supervision; • Relay HR questions raised by the teams to the Project Manager. • Values ​​and motivates staff on their responsibilities and their contributions to carrying out the sector’s activities; • Permanently evaluates the performance of staff under his supervision and highlights their strengths and weaknesses. Analysis and strategy • Analyze the weak points and strong points of the project through impact surveys and monitoring surveys; • Analyze the operational context, identify financing opportunities and the various risks for the project and the organization; • Participate in the development of new proposals. Accountability

 

– In collaboration with the accountability focal point, ensure that all accountability tools
are implemented at all stages of the project and ensure their optimal functioning.
– Engages teams and actively reports cases of fraud or abuse;
– By keeping a register, ensures that the opinions and suggestions of beneficiaries on
project activities are taken into account;
Job requirements
Education • Minimum Bac+3 university degree in agronomy, rural engineering
or in a discipline related to agricultural development Professional
