Presentation of the association
The French Red Cross (CRf) and the Cameroon Red Cross (CRC) are humanitarian associations
, auxiliary to public authorities, which provide aid and assistance to people
vulnerable.
Since 2010, the French Red Cross (CRf) has been present in Cameroon and intervenes in the
areas of health, nutrition and food security and livelihoods (SAME)
in the Eastern and Southern regions. ‘Far North.

Presentation of the position
I. Objective / Summary of the position.
Placed under the authority of the Program Coordinator, the Grants Officer
supports the delegation’s program teams. He/She participates in a
transversal manner in respecting and managing donor requirements in terms of reporting,
contractual management and communication. Page 2 / 5
II. Location of the position
This position is open to people with the required profile and residing in Yaoundé; it is therefore not
subject to relocation. The candidate selected at the end of the recruitment process will
therefore not be able to claim the status of delocalized employee.
III. Responsibilities
A. Ensure compliance with donors’ contractual obligations
The Grants Officer is in charge of:
– Steering and ensuring monitoring and compliance with external reporting deadlines (financial and
narrative) of the programs through the updating of monitoring documents and their distribution
to the teams

 



 

– He/She contributes to the collection of data necessary for the preparation of reports, in
conjunction with the field teams concerned
– Ensure donor compliance of the documents produced by the teams through
proofreading of the reports on content and form (conformity of the formats used) and
ensures overall consistency, spelling and grammar.
– Ensure the transmission of contractual documents (project proposals, reports
presented) to Donors
– Ensure contractual monitoring of ongoing projects (coordination of
contractual modifications, etc.)
– Support and raise awareness among teams on donor rules and contractual obligations
during implementation implementation of projects
– Ensure the continuous archiving of documents relating to grants/projects at delegation
B level
. Support programmatic development and donor engagement
– Support the analysis of donor strategies and participate in monitoring funding
– Ensure a good understanding of donor directives within the team responsible for
preparing the proposal via the development of a summary note of calls for
demonstrations of interest
– Participate in and support the production of reports on donor meetings in support of the
Head of Delegation and Program Coordinator.
– Write information notes for donors
– Support the request of the Program Coordinator for the coordination and drafting
of project proposals
C. Ensure the implementation and monitoring of the internal and external communication plan of the
delegation
– Organization and participation in the various coordination meetings
– Monitoring of internal reporting deadlines
– Organize and participate in briefings for new arrivals on the delegation
– Production of institutional communication materials (presentation brochures)
– Support the program teams in the implementation implementation and monitoring of
communication plans by project
Qualification and experience
Diploma/Level of study:
– Hold at least a Bac+3 level diploma in project management or any
other similar field.
– Have at least 2 years of experience in humanitarian project management.
– Experience in emergency projects, particularly in health and risk and disaster management

 




 

Experience with European donors (ECHO, INTPA, AFD, CDCS) appreciated
Knowledge and skills required:
– Knowledge of European donor rules
– Knowledge of management project
– Excellent writing skills
– English for reporting purposes and external communication
– Local languages ​​of the intervention area (Far North and East Facade)
– Knowledge of the Red Cross Movement appreciated
– Mastery of the Google suite (Gmail, Drive , Google Meet/Agenda)
– Mastery of production communication support software (Canva etc)

– Restraint, patience and diplomacy in partnership relationships
