We are supporting our client, a world-renowned leader in quality and integrity testing, inspection and certification, in the recruitment of one (1): INDUSTRY & ENVIRONMENT MANAGER (I&E) HIERACHIC LINE
:

 

 




 

This position reports directly to the Managing Director.
PLACE OF ASSIGNMENT: Douala – Cameroon
MAIN MISSION OF THE POSITION: Ensure the coordination and operational development of activities relating to the lndustry & Environment (I&E) division and develop its turnover.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

 




1- Design and execute a strategic plan for the development of the achievements of the division under the coordination of the Commercial Management
2- Ensuring the control of operational costs and the good profitability of the division
3- Ensuring daily compliance with the rules of operational integrity and business management of the Group

4- Ensuring the coordination and operational development of activities relating to the Industry & Environment (I&E) division by:
• administering the Division in Cameroon;
• ensuring the development of activities related to the Industry & Environment division: for this he reports to the General Management on the evolution of all activities of the Division, by keeping up to date the monthly and annual statistics of all the products treated by the Division

5- Seek and propose concrete avenues for diversification as well as related investment studies if necessary under the coordination of the Commercial Department by: •
By ensuring the direction and coordination of development actions for the Division’s activities validated with the Commercial Department
• By preparing monthly reports relating to all of the Division’s activities: operations and income
• By monitoring the commercial operations of the Division according to the guidelines of the Commercial Department
• By ensuring relations with the third parties

 

 

6- Ensure the administrative management and the management of the commercial operations of the Division
• By studying the feasibility of calls for tenders and orders by ensuring the response and follow-up taking into account the necessary means and the competence of the staff
• By ensuring the management of commercial operations in line with the strategy and the business plan actions validated with the Commercial Department:
– Prospecting for new potential customers
– Production of commercial offers according to quality standards
– Compliance with commercial policies
– Proposal for improvement and compliance with policies
– Reporting of commercial actions to the Commercial Department

• By monitoring and controlling the expenses of the Division
• By preparing financial projections, CAPEX and OPEX needs
• By reporting to General Management
• By participating in staff training and knowledge/experience sharing;
• By carrying out any other task to provide Added Value
• By participating in the archiving of records and documentation of activities
• By ensuring compliance with operational and integrity requirements (IO, Code of Conduct, etc.)

7 – Ensure the daily management of the staff of the Division and be responsible for it vis-à-vis the General Administration by: •
Ensuring the Direction of operations, the distribution of work to the staff, the programming of activities
• By checking and validating the operational charges (mission order, purchase request, etc.)
• By validating the deliverables related to the operations and activities of the division

8- Ensuring the image and reputation of the company (professionalism, integrity, competence, efficiency)
• By supervising and monitoring compliance with regulations and standards, as well as the maintenance of measuring equipment
• By ensuring staff awareness of Quality and the concept of satisfying customer expectations
• By ensuring the monitoring of the regulations applicable to the activities, and the respect of the standards and work procedures,
• By ensuring the maintenance and improvement of staff skills by proposing appropriate training

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Knowledge
• Mastering the issues of gas and oil production sites as well as the standards relating to these trades and compliance control techniques and integrity of assets
• Mastery of industrial inspection techniques: verification and inspection of industrial welding according to approved and conventional techniques, verification and inspection of drilling and industrial lifting devices Technical know-how • Use of computer tools: Word

/
Excel / PowerPoint / Adobe / Outlook / Internet Explorer / AutoCad
• Have excellent skills in Cameroonian and international metrology and environmental standards
• Complementary training in Management
• Have business acumen
• Spirit of synthesis and analysis
• Writing skills

Relational and commercial know-how:
• Have a sense of service and of the client
• Discretion & Diplomacy
• Autonomy
• Be pro-active and force of proposal
• Carry out prospecting actions, develop and monitor the offers issued
• Review the offers and responses to the Call for Tenders files submitted
• Participate negotiations of markets and contracts
• Maintain and develop customer relations

PROFILE:
• Engineering degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering and/or Electromechanics, electricity, industrial engineering and processes
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the confirmed profession in the fields of building and public works, industry (production, Oil & Gas , etc…), the environment, or any other related field relevant to the position.
• Bilingual: French and English
