As part of the execution of its NGO activities, Care and Health Program (CHP) is looking for motivated and committed resources such as as described in the positions below to be part of his team.

1) Job title: Logistics Officer

CDD: 3 months of trial Renewable after evaluation.

Locations: Yaoundé

Purpose of the position
Provide support in the management and development of CHP logistics in an approach based on the one hand on the concern to provide effective and efficient support for the implementation of programs and projects and on the other hand on compliance with the standards and procedures of the organization and the laws in force.

Description of specific tasks

Management of the fleet of rolling stock and drivers (60%)

• Ensure the management of the fleet of rolling stock (vehicles, motorcycles, etc.) (monitoring of preventive and curative maintenance) and drivers;
• In collaboration with the program and administration teams, take travel plans, assignment and reorganization of vehicles;
• Ensure the follow-up and fuel supply of Tomcards;
• Ensuring the refueling of vehicles/generators;

 

 

• Ensure that rolling stock (vehicles, motorcycles, etc.) and generators are in good condition and that routine maintenance operations are carried out according to established maintenance plans;
• Ensure that rolling stock is equipped with emergency and safety devices in accordance with the regulations in force;
• Ensure that vehicle/motorcycle drivers comply with CHP protocols in terms of transport and travel (filling in documents, safety rules, etc.);
• Ensure the updating of files for monitoring, upkeep and maintenance of the fleet of CHP rolling stock;
• Ensure that the fleet of rolling stock complies with the regulations in force (insurance, gray cards, pink cards, etc.);
• Produce internal reports (travel, maintenance)
• Analyze monthly fuel consumption;
• Ensure the collection of quality data relating to support activities.
• Supervise drivers and coordinate their activities.

 

 

Asset Management (20%)

• Plan and oversee efficient transport, delivery and storage of program supplies
• Liaise with program managers on timely and efficient customs clearance, receipt of international supplies, adapt existing or expand and implement implementation of inventory management/inventory control mechanisms; develop and apply monitoring tools and reporting systems.
• Perform office inventory work and maintain the inventory file
• Ensure that all HPC materials are labeled with the appropriate stickers;
• Ensure the proper functioning of generators in the office (preventive maintenance, diesel supply, etc.);
• Make sure the generator monitoring documents are correctly filled out
; • Make sure that the water and electricity installations are functional;
• Ensure periodic inspections and the implementation of any repairs;
• Ensure that all assets are in good working order.

Security and Safety Management (20%)

• Fulfill the functions of security focal point of the organization, produce monthly security and safety reports;

Qualifications and experiences:

• Have a BAC + 3 level, transport and logistics, economics, or an equivalent university degree in a relevant field;
• Good knowledge of logistics procedures;
• Have a professional experience of at least three (3) years including at least two (02) years in a similar position, preferably in an NGO or equivalent combination of studies and experience.

• Good negotiation skills
• Have a good level (spoken and written) in English
• Very good knowledge of computers, in particular the Microsoft office suite (Word; PowerPoint; Outlook), and strong skills in Excel, including tables dynamic crosses.

• Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team. The incumbent must be able to plan, implement, monitor and defend. Must have strong time management skills and be able to prioritize and execute multiple activities simultaneously.
