TAMMOUNDE is a humanitarian and non-profit non-governmental organization created in 2009 whose aim is to work for the sustainable and effective promotion of local development in order to contribute to the building of a just and equitable society with the responsible participation of all social strata, particularly the most deprived. It operates in the areas of food safety and health. nutrition, infrastructure rehabilitation. water and sanitation, functional literacy, support for elected local actors and community development in general in the Far North Region.
With a view to the implementation of its future activities, Tammounde is launching a call for applications for the recruitment of two (02) Community facilitators/mobilizers.

NATURE OF CONTRACT CDD
HIERARCHICAL HEAD Team Leader POSITION BASIS
: Department of Mayo-Tsanaga with the possibility of being assigned to another Department of the Far North Region.
DURATION OF THE CONTRACT 12 months possibly renewable
DESIRED START DATE OF THE PROJECT March 1, 2024
POSITION DESCRIPTION The community facilitator ensures awareness and community mobilization for the implementation of Tammounde Speranza projects. He/She supports team leaders in the implementation and achievement of the objectives defined in the operation proposals. He (she) participates in data collection as well as the identification of beneficiaries within the communities. He (she) guarantees the coaching of the relays and the quality of participation and acceptance of the project by the communities; He (she) participates in the implementation, close monitoring of activities and assessment of new needs. He (she) supports the beneficiaries in the implementation of their activities. He (she) is in permanent contact with the beneficiaries and represents the organization at the local level.
He (she) ensures regular reporting on the progress of project activities in the areas of competence;



 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES   

The major responsibilities of community mobilizers/facilitators will be as follows. bia nostic and design of ro•ets
e Participates in the diagnosis of the Management Committees of Water Points and Communal Water Funds, groups of producers, young people and women and VSLAs in the intervention areas of the project
Participates in the implementation of the mapping of existing agricultural groups, CGPEs and VSLAs
Participates in supporting groups, FGPs and
VSLAs in order to address the specific needs of their communities, particularly women and young people ;
Participates in local monitoring of groups, DEA EC and
CGPE;
Participates in the establishment or updating of FCEs in the project intervention,
Participates in the networking of CGPEs (at the municipal and intercommunal level) and establishment/strengthening of municipal water funds;
Participates in supporting agricultural groups in their process of professionalization and inclusion in value chains
Participates in assessment evaluations of project activities (Base line, mid-term, end of project);
Support for data collection for new project proposals.
Implementation and operational monitoring
Make a weekly and monthly schedule of activities.
• Supervise the implementation of WASH and empowerment activities in compliance with defined deadlines and technical specifications
• Ensure that the results of the activity for which he is responsible are achieved;
Reporting / communication / representation
Report to the appropriate person any information on the security context or any event having a possible impact on the activities and security of the teams,
• Write regular reports on the progress of the activity(ies) including he is in charge;
• Ensure compliance with deadlines and formats for submitting reports;
Maintain locally an operational communication network and good relations with sectors, FCEs, VSLAs, groups and communities;
• Ensure the representation of Tammounde at the place of assignment at meetings or forums concerning WASH and empowerment sector activities;
• Represent Tammounde upon request and/or delegation. Respond to requests from the IS partner regarding specific needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS  

Level of study: Minimum BAC +2 in social sciences, agronomy, economics or any equivalent sector; Have a good knowledge of the geographical and socio-cultural context of the Departments of Mayo-Tsanaga;
At least two years of experience as a community mobilizer/facilitator;
Good knowledge of the operation of VSLAs and CGPEs;
Good knowledge of the support process. AGR;

Good mastery of the structuring, animation, and training of producer groups; Good command of local languages;
Ability to carry out multi-sectoral assessments
Good organizational and self-esteem skills;
Be able to work under pressure, in a team and in an ÀUltgilltüFéL context •
Ability to write activity reports as well as periodic reports on time;
Have knowledge of Prevention of
Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (PEAS);
Have a category A driving license,
Have good leadership and communication skills;
Have a good foothold in the intervention communities Mastery of IT tools, especially software: Word and Excel.

Attention to detail and the ability to complete assigned tasks to completion is required.
Experience working in a conflict environment is a plus.

Ability to work independently and in a team
Perfect command of local languages
